Medical gear maker Getinge tops Q4 core profit estimates (updated)

       Jan 28 (Reuters) - Swedish medical equipment maker
Getinge  GETIb.ST  reported fourth-quarter core earnings above
market expectations on Tuesday, supported by a significant
increase in its order intake and net sales, with a positive
performance across its regions.
    Getinge's adjusted earnings before interest, taxes and
amortisation (EBITA) were 2.14 billion Swedish crowns ($194.65
million) in the quarter, up 63% from 1.32 billion a year
earlier. Analysts were expecting 1.58 billion crowns, a
company-provided consensus showed.
